After months of heartwarming generosity and support from the community, we are proud to say that we met our goal of raising $1 million which will be doubled thanks to our generous matching donor Bob Williams.
Bob said he did this to encourage everyone in the community to become involved, invest, and find their true nature at FortWhyte Alive.
Bob’s match has ended but you can still donate to Your True Nature by clicking on the Donate button. You will still receive all of the amazing recognition opportunities for the Your True Nature campaign.
See our end-of-campaign recap on our blog.
Bob was raised on the banks of the Assiniboine River across from Assiniboine Park and has felt connected to nature from a very early age. As an avid canoeist, he has paddled lakes, rivers, and oceans throughout Manitoba, Northwest Ontario, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and Haida Gwaii.
Bob has invested countless volunteer hours on the boards of Assiniboine Park Conservancy, Fish Futures, and Polar Bears International. The Canadian military is another passion of Bob’s, and he serves as the Honorary Colonel for the Fort Garry Horse regiment.
Throughout his business career in the development of commercial and residential property, Bob says he has “paved paradise and put up a parking lot several times and now it is payback time”. Bob is proud to be a part of the team to help protect FortWhyte Alive forever.
