You doubled your impact!

We are so lucky to have this 660 acres of nature within Winnipeg. Every year, thousands of kids get their nature experience right here, and that’s the true value of this place.

— Bob Williams Winnipeg nature-lover

Bob’s generous matching gift will inspire countless people to become involved in the campaign so generations of families, students, and visitors like you can continue to build essential connections with nature at FortWhyte Alive now, and will allow FortWhyte to be here for you for years to come.

— Liz Wilson President & CEO

On behalf of all those who depend on FortWhyte as a place for their children and grandchildren, for fun, for learning, and for so many other things, I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to Bob Williams. He's stepped forward with a very generous commitment and all he needs now is for you to join him.

Bob was raised on the banks of the Assiniboine River across from Assiniboine Park and has felt connected to nature from a very early age. As an avid canoeist, he has paddled lakes, rivers, and oceans throughout Manitoba, Northwest Ontario, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and Haida Gwaii.

Bob has invested countless volunteer hours on the boards of Assiniboine Park Conservancy, Fish Futures, and Polar Bears International. The Canadian military is another passion of Bob’s, and he serves as the Honorary Colonel for the Fort Garry Horse regiment.
